Microsoft Windows XP Support Ends 31 Dec, 2017
Microsoft support for Windows XP ended 8 April 2014. After an extra 3 years, Corum must also end its extended support on 31 Dec, 2017.
What does this mean?
From 1 Jan 2018, our minimum software requirements will change.
Corum LOTS POS & Dispense will soon only be updated from Windows 7 and Windows 10 onwards (we do not support Windows 8). That means anyone running their pharmacy on Windows XP in 2018 could become exposed to unnecessary risks and costs.
If you are still running Windows XP in 2018 and request technical support, please be aware this will incur a service charge, details of which are available from your Account Manager.
Anyone running Windows 7 or 10 will continue to enjoy our expert support under the current Service Level Agreement.
Have you upgraded your operating system from Windows XP?
If you have not done so already, Corum strongly advises that you upgrade from Windows XP to a more recent operating system to avoid unnecessary risks and costs.
Please call your Account Manager, or call us on 1300 669 865.

Corum Celebrates Diwali, and the Community Spirit
Supporting community health in body, mind and spirit is very important to Corum. You could say that promoting holistic community health is at the core of our values and mission. As such, Corum took great delight on October 20 in celebrating the Indian festival of Diwali with staff, some of whom were born in India.
A popular Hindu festival, Diwali signifies the victory of:
- Light over darkness
- Good over evil
- Knowledge over ignorance
- Hope over despair
The festival has a simple message, let light shine within yourself, and shine this light to the world outside. It is a time for introspection, to contemplate and dispel all forms of darkness. As you can imagine, candlelight is a significant feature of Diwali, making it a very warm and atmospheric festival.
While Diwali is observed with much joy and happiness, it is also one of the biggest shopping seasons in India. People buy new clothes for themselves and their families, as well as gifts, appliances and kitchen utensils. Even expensive items like cars and gold jewellery.
People also buy gifts for family members and friends which typically include sweets, dry fruits and seasonal specialties depending on regional harvests. Corum staff certainly enjoyed their sweets this year!
Diwali is also the period when elders tell children ancient stories about battles between good and evil. Girls and women are encouraged to enjoy activities together, like creating rangoli (art) and other creative patterns on floors, door entries and walkways. Youth and adults are also invited to help with lighting and preparing for patakhe (fireworks).
Corum was pleased to celebrate Diwali, as it is any holistic community health initiative.
